It is likely that each of us know somebody who is struggling with mental health challenges. Have you ever wondered how, as a Christian, you can help these people? This book may be for you.

It starts with the basics of love and compassion as modeled by the Good Samaritan. We look at how technology has contributed to the issue being worse in this generation than any previous one. Then we review foundational truths about mental health from a physiological, soul-focused, and spiritual perspective. The last chapters give some practical helps for ministering to the mentally challenged, both in the acute and longer term relationships.

The author condenses lessons learned from years of life experience and thousands of pages of research to give you a practical summary of the principles in use. It is his hope that these principles can equip you to be a more Christ-like and effective minister of compassion to people in the world around you.

Please note that if you live in GA, HI, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MN, NE, NV, NJ, OH, RI, VA, VT, WV, WY, DC, or PR: you may not purchase from my website due to your states or territories arbitrary and capricious sales tax laws. In each of these jurisdictions, averaging 17 eBook sales per month would constitute an economic nexus and require me to work for free on their behalf to collect, file, and remit sales taxes. In Arkansas, where I have a physical nexus, there is a $50 tax to set up an account to collect sales taxes, and then 4-6 hours of labor every month to file and remit those taxes. I am selling these books below list price and taking a loss on shipping costs because I want to get them into people’s hands. I do not have the time or ability to keep up with filings, and I cannot afford the $75 per filing per jurisdiction that it would cost otherwise. If you live in one of these states, encourage your legislators to follow in the example of LA (2023), UT (2025), and AK (2025) in removing the 200 annual transaction count from their economic nexus criteria. Until then, your only option is to purchase from one of the big corporations (such as Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0GP2MQ471 or Barnes & Noble https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/of-some-have-compassion-wescott/1149826784?ean=9798995458500) that already sell hundreds of thousands of dollars of merchandise in your state and can afford to keep up with the sales taxes. You may also use the universal book link (https://books2read.com/u/bonjyv) to find a digital copy on a variety of retailers. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. 🙁
